As an outcome of providing consulting services to business entities, MWE is frequently asked to design water treatment plants for the residences of their owners and key executives. Wherein we provide a detailed analysis of their homes water supply and ask what they wish to have removed based upon intended uses (i.e., consumption, cooking, bathing, laundry, lawn irrigation, swimming pool/spa, fountains, etc.). Then design a water treatment plant in response to their wishes.

We have served municipal systems ranging from Minneapolis to small rural communities to resorts, campgrounds, and state and federal parks required to comply with the Safe Drinking Water Act. We specialize in compliance with the Surface Water Treatment Rule/Groundwater Disinfection Rule, reduction of arsenic and radionuclides, as well as iron, manganese, chlorides, sulfates, and hardness. AGRICULTURAL WATER TREATMENTS
Midwest Water Engineering has served agricultural systems large and small. We have designed and installed water treatment systems for production facilities requiring 10 to 300 gallons per minute and Type 1 ultrapure systems for genetic and semen production labs.
We have presented multiple research papers to the American Association of Swine Veterinarians covering the removal of water contaminants (iron, manganese, sulfates, chlorides, etc.) and water biosecurity (links below to access these papers). We have also served as consultants to some of the largest swine, poultry, and dairy producers in America.
OUR PFAS REMOVAL SERVICE
We are a leader in the water treatment industry for the investigation of the detection and removal of PFAS. Currently, we serve as an expert advisor to NSF International on developing performance certification standards for products intended for the removal of PFAS. We previously served as a principal investigator for the Minnesota State Legislator for the initial performance verification study (2008) for the use of point-of-use and point-of-entry water treatment devices for the removal of PFAS.
